Who are the Big Six Cyclists?
You may have heard the term "the big six" thrown around when it comes to the professional cycling circuit. This refers to the six biggest named riders in the professional peloton: Wout van Aert, Matthieu van der Poel, Tadej Pogačar, Primož Roglič, Jonas Vingegaard, and Remco Evenepoel.
Between the six of them they dominate the world of professional cycling, from road to cross. It's almost a guaranteed that they'll place in the top three of a race they start and generate incredibly short odds.
Luckily for the bettors that each way bets allow us to win on a top three slot instead of just a rider finishing first. Otherwise you're always stuck just deciding which of the top six riders will beat the other top six rider who's at the same race.
It's also one of the reasons the betting markets have begun publishing odds without certain riders in the mix.
