The startlist is pretty packed already with some punchy names like Felix Gall, Thibaut Pinot (last race before retirement?), David Gaudu, Matteo Jorgenson, Richard Carapaz, Ilan Van Wilder, and how can we forget Julian Alaphillipe.

Skjelmose won the TT last year which made the difference. He never won any of the other stages. Will the TT this year be able to make the difference?

Most of the riders will be coming off the Tour of Slovakia - so we'll know their form from that - but also we may be able to judge if they want to swap leadership.
