Flemish Classics - Dwars Door Vlaanderen 2023
We're right in the midst of the core Flemish classics season. And while Gent Wevelgem was rather less than exciting from a viewership perspective we can still hope for excitement with DDV tomorrow and Tour of Flanders on Sunday.
So what are our picks for tomorrow?
Well @MaschBasch thinks these are the top picks
and the betting markets are roughly similar with
I'd say to take Ganna at 21.00 - his form earlier in the season has been incredibly strong, and he should be the leader on the team with Pidcock. But I'm concerned about his form after the crash at Gent Wevelgem.
Pidcock had the concussion recently but physically should be in strong form.
Madous is at 21.00, came 2nd @ Strade Bianche and @MaschBache rates highly. Seems worth a take at that price.
De Lie's team has no one else other than Ewan and Lotto needs some wins so will be relatively passionate.
The course has a variety of hills, well suited to rouleurs, and has a climb of 1.1km - 7.5% 30km from the finish that could act as a launching pad for a break.
No rain on the forecast for tomorrow. Hovering around 15C.
Our 🔥 take is that it won't be a sprinter's match and they'll be a break winner. Pidcock could be a good option.
There's a variety of head to heads that are potentially worth parlaying - but again, we don't always recommend betting on head to heads for one day races.
