The race usually features a variety of semi difficult stages with enough climbing, or at least stages that end with climbing, to make the rouleurs with a greater than average climbing ability succeed. It's the race where Oscar Onley began to make a name for himself. Given he fractured his collarbone in the Vuelta he won't be back this year, but maybe another up and comer debutant will make a name for themselves?

Ah the GC classification that Matej Mohoric won through sneaky use of bonus seconds over Vingegaard last year. Will it happen again?

Mohoric didn't even win a stage in last year's event - and with Vingegaard not making an appearance (most likely) given the Vuelta we could see him  pulling it off again.

Stephen Williams, who's been looking in fine fettle in the past few weeks after his performances at the Arctic Race of Norway and the Tour of Britain won in 2021 after a 4km solo on one stage made a major gap. Will he make a comeback with IPT?
