Joshua Tarling πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

If you're concerned if anyone's ever going to beat Jonas Vingegaard after his absolutely insane time trial performance at the Tour de France 2023 - look no further than up and comer Josh Tarling.

We're jesting of course πŸ™ƒ. Josh is far too heavy to be able to beat Vingegaard on a hilly time trial course, but it'd wouldn't be unfair to compare him to the likes of a Filippo Ganna or Stephen KΓΌng at his height and build.

Tarling had a good neo pro year, mainly with respect to not crashing (which couldn't be said for some of the other Ineos youngsters) and always performed decently in the TT's.

Strengths

Tarling showed off his prowess at the time trial discipline - claiming the first spot at Great Britain's National against a relatively stacked field. Not only did he claim first but he was a full minute ahead of his nearest competitor Fred Wright.

When to Bet

Tarling's still simmering - which is good for value. It's not like he's been winning every time trial out there and there's still other strong contenders for development like Magnus Sheffield and Ben Tulett on Ineos.

However we think he'll have a few breakout performance in time trials next year and should get some decent odds in the shadow of others who have developed sooner.

Markets also always undervalue National time trial results - despite the calibre of riders at most major European countries being extremely high.
